One of our favorite fundraisers of the year is back again: The Shelter Sleep-In! Eleven teams and individuals will be competing to raise the most money before having the ultimate sleepover – curled up in one of our animal enclosures with a furry friend.
Contestants will decorate their kennels to a theme, and then it’s up to YOU to decide who comes out on top. Come visit us on Friday, September 25th to meet our contestants, vote for your favorite themed kennel, and donate as they make a last-minute push to come out Top Dog.
This year’s Fall in Love theme is perfect for the changing weather, and shows that love for our pets is always in season. Whether they spend the fall snuggled up with their cat or adventuring among the changing leaves with their dog, our contestants are sure to turn out with some Hallmark-inspiring themes!

Amanda is a reporter for NEWS CENTER Maine and hosts a weekly segment to help find animals in Maine shelters their forever homes. She would come home with all of the animals if her own dog, Kali, would allow it. Help her out-raise her colleague, Lee Goldberg!
