Girl Scout Badge Program

Are you a scout leader looking for an engaging, animal-centric program for your troop? The ARLGP offers a workshop that will include a tour of the shelter as well as hands-on activities to talk about animal needs and animal welfare topics. After this program, scouts will have completed all aspects needed to complete a Girl Scout Badge.

Additionally, the ARLGP offers a custom-designed badge program created with Girl Scouts of Maine called the “Animal Advocates” badge.

To register your scout group or to get more information of our scout offerings, please contact our humane education department at education@arlgp.org or (207) 517-3939.

Scout Service Opportunities

Often, scouts in our community are interested in contributing service hours to the ARLGP for their Eagle Scout or Gold Award designations.

The ARLGP is happy to accept proposals and work with scouts on a limited basis in need of projects to fulfill these levels.

Please email our humane educator, Darci Bloemendaal, directly at education@arlgp.org for more information.
