Donations of supplies help stock our shelves and care for the thousands pets that come through our doors every year. Items can be purchased and brought to our facility, or acquired from one of our online wish lists to be delivered directly to our shelter. We accept donations daily from 9-5:30.

Below is a list of items we are always in need of at the shelter, but is not an exhaustive list of what we can accept. Shelter & Office Supplies

• Towels, linens, blankets, washcloths, kitchen towels
  • No comforters, down, pillows, etc.
• Flea and tick preventatives
• Metal & ceramic bowls

  • Currently we are only accepting Large or XL dog crates.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have an item that isn’t on your list, will you take it?
We accept many kinds of donations, provided the items are clean and in good condition. If you’re unsure if we would accept your donation, contact us at (207) 854-9771 to ask!

Do you accept used items?
We accept most gently used items in good, clean condition. We do not accept used grooming kits or litter boxes.

Can I donate dog/cat food brands that aren’t your preferred brand, or opened bags of food?
We aim to keep our pets on a consistent diet for their digestive health, but will accept donations of all brands. Pet food donations that are not our preferred brands may become part of our Pet Food Pantry, serving pet owners in need. Opened bags of food are passed on to local wildlife reserves.

Do you accept linens, sheets, blankets, etc?
We do accept bedding in good, clean condition including sheets, blankets and towels. We do not accept any bedding that is stuffed or can be pulled apart by our dogs (comforters, pillows, sleeping bags, etc).

Can I donate medications?
We do accept some unexpired medications. If you’d like to donate medications, contact us at (207) 854-9771 to ask if we will accept your donation. We do not accept controlled substances.
