About our group classes:

• Classes are held in our Community Room, located at 217 Landing Road in Westbrook, outdoor along our private campus, or via Zoom.
• Before You Sign Up: Please refer to our Registration Information page to see our policies and requirements for participation.
• To Register: Please follow this link to sign up for your class. You will be asked to create a custom profile of you and your dog, so that we can track all of the necessary information and records for your class.

ADULT CLASSES

FAMILY DOG MANNERS

Do you have a social dog who needs some manners? Maybe you’re thinking your pup would be a great candidate for therapy work, or want just a little less chaos when you bring them out and about? Family Dog Manners is designed to help with common problem areas like loose leash walking, manners around strangers, recall, and basic obedience. Dogs must be 9 months or older to take this class.

Our Family Dog Manners course is required as a prerequisite to prepare you and your canine companion for the Canine Good Citizen test, which is often a recommended step for public therapy dog work.

This class is not for highly reactive dogs or dogs who are uncomfortable around strangers. We recommend utilizing our complementary behavior helpline if you are unsure of where to start. If you have questions about if your dog would succeed in this class, email training@arlgp.org.

FOR FUN CLASSES!! *SEASONAL- HOLIDAY FUN 🙂

Want to continue the fun in an upcoming class this winter and continue to engage your dogs’ brain, but don’t need the foundations or want to worry about homework in the busy season? We’ve got you covered! To celebrate the end of the year with a bit of fun and exploring new hobbies with our dogs, ARLGP is excited to offer the following FOR FUN courses:

• Scentwork Club- Sundays, 11/15-12/20 (NO CLASS 11/29) @ 10am – Instructor: Karen Casey CPDT-KA

Attendees MUST already be established clients with the ARLGP Behavior & Training program and non-reactive in a group class setting. If you are unsure if this class is appropriate for you dog, or you are not an already established client but would like to be evaluated into the class, email training@arlgp.org. There is no age limit for these classes, but please note we will not allow puppies to do anything that would strain their joints as they are growing.

Registration: $150-200 depending on the course
