LEAVE A MEMORIAL GIFT FOR A LOVED ONE TO HELP PETS AT THE ARLGP

The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) is honored to be included in the legacy of pet lovers and beloved pets. All gifts make a difference to pets in need.

Please consider the information below as a guide in setting up and making memorial gifts.

INCLUDING THE ARLGP IN AN OBITUARY

When a loved one dies, families often choose to request gifts sent to a favorite charity of the deceased. Typically this is noted in the obituary as “sending gifts in lieu of flowers” to honor the loved one’s memory.

If you would like to have gifts made to the ARLGP in lieu of flowers, you may include that information in the obituary, and/or inform the funeral director of your wishes. We suggest that you include the following instructions:

“In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, PO Box 336, Westbrook, ME 04098, or go to www.arlgp.org/memorial”

All gifts made in memory of someone are acknowledged upon receipt, and the families are notified each week of any gifts received by the ARLGP in the name of their loved one.
