Want to support the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland during the season of giving? Host a Donation Drive at your office, business, neighborhood, church, or school and help us stock our shelves this holiday season.

And, we make it easy with all the tools you need, below. You can download our letter-sized donation drive signs to post with collection bins and boxes. Print and distribute (or email!) our wish list PDF to co-workers, friends and family. We’ve also made a handy donation drive checklist with tips and tricks to help make sure your drive has tails wagging!

When you’re done, we want to make a big deal of your support! We’d love to schedule a time for you to drop off your items at the ARLGP. We’ll take a photo of your drive’s success and share it on our social media. To schedule a time to drop-off: connect with Jeana Roth, Director of Community Engagement, at jroth@arlgp.org / (207) 517-3932 or Sara Johnson, Development Coordinator, at sjohnson@arlgp.org / (207) 517-3937.

FAQ’s about donation drives

What is your most commonly needed item?
Currently, dog toys and cat toys are greatly needed! We also need canned puppy food and canned kitten food for our youngest shelter pets.

We would like to provide you with gift certificates. What stores are most helpful?
Gift certificates are incredibly appreciated, as it allows us to purchase supplies dependent on current and urgent needs. Stores like Hannaford, Target or Walmart are very useful, and cover a range of products used at the ARLGP. VISA or Amazon gift cards are also very useful for shelter-wide needs.
