The Freaky Bean is serving more than coffee these days - they're
serving up kindness and generosity for the animals needing
homes at the Animal Refuge League.
During July and August the staff of the Freaky Bean (Westbrook)
are displaying their very own artwork of pets that are available
for adoption at the Animal Refuge League. Their artwork is
available for purchase (a donation to the ARL).
Many of the pets displayed are long-term residents of the
shelter or have some special needs. "Special Needs"
may only mean a special diet!
Stop by and see how talented these folks are. You never know,
you may just find a picture of your new "forever"
friend hanging on the wall...

A Planet Dog Foundation Fundraiser
Batter up! Let your dog round the bases with
Slugger and sit with you in the bleachers as as the Portland
Sea Dogs take on the Trenton Thunder. All
proceeds benefit the Animal Refuge League.
Ticket holders with a tail will enjoy a wading pool, yummy
treats and a free Planet Dog Baseball. Tickets
will be $7.00 for adults, and $4.00 for children under
16 and senior citizens. Tots under 2 are free!
