Espresso is a Border Collie mix transferred
to us from another Maine shelter. Her age is estimated at 1-2 years old.
At 35 pounds, she is small in stature, but huge in energy. She has a
happy personality, and is playful, bouncy, loving, and curious. Her herding
heritage is unmistakable, and Espresso is not recommended for a home
with kids because she will try to herd them by nipping at their heels.
During her behavioral assessment, she was very focused and motivated
to learn. A new owner who can channel Espresso’s energy will end
up with a terrific farm helper, agility dog, flyball dog, or jogging
companion. Mental and physical exercise aren’t just random items
on Espresso’s wish list; they are essentials. Couch potatoes need
not apply, but if you are seeking a canine worker, competitor, or active
playmate, come in and say hello to your new best friend.
