What a champ this girl has proven to be.
With all the ups and downs in her life, including painful dry eyes,
being scared of the world, and getting lost, she's a survivor. Sophia
would love to live with another dog; a well-socialized dog with confidence
may help her to learn that she doesn't have to be frightened of her
surroundings. In her foster home, Sophia lives successfully with cats.
She may do well with children in the home, as well, as long as they
know to close the outside door tightly when going in and out. Sophia
suffers from chronic dry eyes and will need ointment for the rest of
her life. The staff can explain more to you about this need. Sophia
needs a patient family who would like to help her build her confidence
and continue to expose her to new things in a positive, fun way. Participation
in an ARL Canine Education class will help new adopters create a strong
bond and will also give them techniques on making Sophia become more
at ease. If Sophia sounds like the dog you've been needing to make
your family complete, please come meet her today.
