These lovely little beauties were surrendered to the shelter when their owner developed allergies. Gem loves to show off her dancing skills when her caregiver makes clucking noises or sings to her. Wasabi is a busy boy who enjoys playing with his toys and gets oh-so-excited about “tubby time”. These 10 year old Maroon Bellied Conures have been together their whole lives and must go as a pair. They do have a few quirks as well and need to go to an experienced parrot home. Like all parrots, they are highly intelligent and social. Learning a few tricks through a positive method, such as clicker training, could go a long way in strengthening bonds with caregivers as well as reducing undesired behaviors. They also cherish “quiet time” with their caregivers and are loving and affectionate. If you like just a little spice with your sweet, these conures may just be the right match for you.
